'A Fisherman's Prized Possession' -
Heirloom Collection III
A Fisherman's Prized Possession' was inspired by the Norfolk coast particularly the area in and around Great Yarmouth. Historical fisherman ganseys were knitted symmetrically to extend durability. This allowed fisherman to turn the jumpers as parts became worn out whilst working on the coast. The construction of this garment has been inspired in this way and can be worn both ways, adding to its longevity and versatility.
This was designed for the customer looking at historical references of the area. Caballing and patching have been used together with intarsia motifs to create these highly decorative sleeve details. Motifs including the iconic herring fish found on the Great Yarmouth emblem and the lifeboat anchor from the Caister Volunteer Lifeboat Service can be seen on the jumper.
Personalisation has the ability to instil association and value into new products. New Heirlooms.
